The finale to the nine year long show “Stranger Things” released on December 31st, 2025. The show premiered on Netflix on July 15th, 2016. “Stranger Things” follows the story of a friend group that is faced with solving eerie mysteries and strange disappearances.
The finale picked up right where Volume 2 left off and was full of action. I was constantly on the edge of my seat. The finale was a great ending to the show and perfectly showed off the characters’ growth.
Personally, I loved the ending and thought it was a perfect conclusion to the show. A lot of people disliked the episode and thought that there should be another episode to tie off the loose ends. Durand students are almost equally divided. According to a poll sent out, 50% of students that responded did not like the finale while 50% did.
I loved that we got to see where the characters are in life after the finale. We finally got to see them mature and create their own lives that don’t revolve around destroying the enemy.
The ending had a great, unexpected twist that left me feeling emotional. The finale did a great job of getting you emotionally involved in the show. Every action-packed scene left you wondering what was going to happen or if your favorite character was going to die.
Though, I didn’t like how short the final battle scene was. There was so much tension building up for the scene, and yet it fell short. The scene did not meet my expectations at all.
I would definitely recommend “Stranger Things” to other people. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should. It’s a great show to watch with friends. The action-packed scenes and emotion are constant reminders of how amazing the show is.
Overall, I think the “Stranger Things” finale should get 4 out of 5 bones.
