Students in the journalism class at Durand High School publish articles for The Bulldog Beat throughout the academic year.

Content is determined by the staff and does not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of the Durand High School’s faculty, administration, adviser, or student body.

The Bulldog Beat is a public forum for student expression.  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Letters to the editor and guest commentaries are encouraged and must be signed, although anonymity can be granted on a case-by-case basis. The editorial staff reviews letters to the editor, advertising, and guest commentaries and reserves the right to edit and refuse material. Reasons can include length, clarity, libel, obscenity, and material disruption of the educational process at Durand High School or violation of copyright laws.
